What about the Summit at Mill Hill attracts people looking to downsize?
Summit at Mill Hill is an over 55, independent community that offers maintenance-free living in a beautiful, upscale setting. We are known for our “Connected Life” program – we offer daily social, educational, and fitness opportunities to residents.
What makes the Summit at Mill Hill unique?
Summit at Mill Hill is unique because there are 18 common areas in the community, including a Tavern, Movie Theater, Pool, Fitness Room, Exercise and Yoga Studio, an Arts and Crafts Room, a Library and more! We encourage residents to live in the entire building, not just in their apartments.
The other thing that is unique about Summit is that we do not require a large entrance fee. This makes it feasible for many individuals and families to move to this beautiful community.
What is your favorite part about working/managing the Summit at Mill Hill?
My favorite part of managing Summit at Mill Hill is seeing our residents create new relationships and enjoy all of the services and amenities that we offer!
During the pandemic what is the process for people interested in the Summit at Mill Hill to tour?
We offer private tours only, by appointment. All visitors have their temperatures checked as they enter, and we ask them a series of questions related to how they feel, if they have traveled, whether they have been exposed to anyone with COVID-19, etc. Everyone is required to wear a mask in the community and gloves are also offered.
What are the most popular amenities/activities for your residents?
There are so many activities and amenities offered that it is hard to pick just one! If I had to choose 1, I would say our weekly Happy Hours in our Tavern. Residents also enjoy our Fitness Classes – we offer Tai Chi, Chair Yoga, Hydro-Bikes and other classes, 5 days a week!
What measures has the Summit at Mill Hill taken to ensure the safety of your staff and residents on a day to day basis?
To safeguard our residents, we do temperature checks and question everyone who enters the building. We also disinfect all of the surfaces that residents touch, at least once a day. We send out frequent reminders to all residents too, to wash their hands, wear masks, and practice safe social distancing.
